SW&N - Software e Navigazione s.r.l. was founded in 1996 by a pool of professionals working in the computer sector who were able to integrate their high tech know-how with a specific knowledge of the world of navigation.

The experience acquired in preparing nautical cartography and the interfacing of onboard instrumentation has led to the creation of software products that are being proposed as a valid aid for all sailors, be they pleasure boaters (on motor boats or yachts), regatta tacticians, or fishing experts.

As a backup to its software development business, SW&N has also gradually expanded its own skills in the field of consultancy for the designing and creating to order of both software and hardware solutions for integrated management of onboard electronic equipment:

• integration between cartographical systems and specific onboard instrumentation (radar, directional sonic depth finders, etc.)
  
• integration between cartographical systems and the acquisition/processing of meteorological data;
  
• fleet monitoring systems;
  
• PIS (Passengers Information Systems) for ferries and cruisers;
  
• integration of closed-circuit video monitoring systems on personal computers.
